GALLIANI: MILAN AND THE YOUTH





Milan for the Youth: today at the San Siro were Adriano Galliani, Filippo Galli, Laura Masi and Bruno Dominici.

MILAN – The presentation of the Milan Junior – Milan for the Youth was also a chance for Adriano Galliani to present to all the media, management and Youth Sector staff in attendance, the club’s new Brazilian keeper Gabriel. The player will be registered in the next few weeks and will start pre-season training with the squad.

But that’s not all. Adriano Galliani spoke of the importance of the club’s Youth Sector and of the numerous players who start off in red and black before going onto all parts of the nation’s top two divisions: Odoumadi and Verdi in Torino as well as Romagnaoli in Pescara. Galliani spoke of how the club bought De Sciglio at the age of 10 from Cimiano and of how Francesco Zagatti was well aware of Riccardo Montolivio’s talent as a child, of the great work done with Kingsley Boateng and of the chance for AdriĆ  Carmona to join up with the Primavera squad from 9 July.

Confirming the importance of the Youth Sector, Galliani also highlighted the presence of the Primavera side as well as the Allievi Nazionali in the Final Eight and the growth rate of young athletes like Merkel and Strasser.

In the course of the event, Filippo Galli, head of the Youth Sector spoke of the importance of the Milan Academy for the education and growth of the youngsters.

Laura Masi, Milan’s marketing director spoke of the growth of the club’s football schools, of the educational and communicative value of the links between Milan and the Camps as well as between the club and the youngster’s families.

Bruno Dominici, athletic coach, described the work of MilanLab within the Youth Sector, an experience both useful and productive.
